Would you like to join in the fun of FEST too? We always need willing helpers for every show that we do. There's lots to do; building scenery, painting it, making or altering costumes, rehearsing the dancing, line rehearsals, preparing sound effects, planning and setting up the lighting, making the tea (very important!).

If you have talents that you would like to put to good use, and you'd like to be in an English-speaking environment while you're having fun, do get in touch with us - we´ll be happy to welcome you to the team!

FAQ

Are you the English Theatre in Frankfurt?

No we are not. They stage professional productions, we are amateurs in the true sense of the word – we do it for love.

Are you a professional theatre?

We are amateurs but strive for professional standards and excellence. Some of our members are professionally trained but no one gets paid for any FEST production.

Where & how often do you meet?

We have regular monthly play readings and sometimes offer workshops. The club’s annual general meeting is usually in February, and we have Christmas / New Year parties and a Summer BBQ. We also get together on a more informal basis for outings to the theatre or cinema – this is often arranged through our facebook group.

How often do you put on productions?

We aim for staging three plays and would love to be able to do four, but that depends a bit on the membership – the more, the merrier and the easier it is to pull off more productions!

How long, how often & where do you rehearse?

The rehearsal period is usually around 10 weeks; for a big production such as a pantomime it may be longer. We meet twice a week during the week and, closer to opening night, add weekend rehearsals as needed.

Do I have to have theatrical experience?

No! We have a lot of expertise amongst our members and welcome everyone who is willing to learn the basics of amateur theatre.
