Would you like to join in the fun of FEST too? We always need willing helpers for every show that we do. There's lots to do; building scenery, painting it, making or altering costumes, rehearsing the dancing, line rehearsals, preparing sound effects, planning and setting up the lighting, making the tea (very important!).
If you have talents that you would like to put to good use, and you'd like to be in an English-speaking environment while you're having fun, do get in touch with us - we´ll be happy to welcome you to the team!
EVERY PRODUCTION NEEDS MORE THAN ACTORS!
We are always looking for volunteers - click for more information...

As previously announced: your presence is cordially requested at James the Bar in the English Theatre on Saturday 15 January, 18:00 (that’s 6pm) for the Annual General Meeting and 20:00 (8pm) for the party. Apart from reports and elections of a new committee, there are some rather important issues to be decided, such as potential tax liabilities (we should change the statutes). Please do come and cast your votes and give your input on what you want FEST to be & do in the next 12 months! And then just stay on for the party. FEST pays for venue, food and some drinks. Should be great fun! Please register on email addresses below by Wednesday 12 January if you’re coming to the party – we need to know numbers for the party. Hangers-on are welcome but we’ll have to ask them for a € 10 contribution for food & drinks (or they can put it towards their own membership, and get food and drinks for free...). SPRING PRODUCTION We still need a director (and a play!) for the support one-act that will accompany the FEATS-bound one-act. For both of those we're looking for production team, including the all-important stage manager (also for FEATS). The call for auditions will be going out soon! AUDITIONS AT THE AEP Our friends at the Amelia Earhart Playhouse in Wiesbaden are opening up auditions for their next play: “Incorruptible” – a dark comedy about the dark ages. Auditions will be held on 12 & 13 January (Arrive anytime between 7 and 9:30pm). Required are actors and actresses ages 20 to 70. No previous experience is necessary. Performances are in mid-March. For more information, please phone the Playhouse on 0611-816-2473. PLAYREADING Sadly, the one planned for January had to be cancelled due to low attendance. As this has happened rather too often in the past few months, the committee would like to know from the membership whether we should continue this tradition or not. It will be an agenda item at the AGM – do let us know your “vote” (and reasons) either then or by email, preferably before January 15. MISCELLANY On 20 January, the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen will announce their programme for this year’s festival, which always includes a production or two coming over from London, from The Old Vic. Well worth the (2.5 hour) trip to a beautiful theatre, but tickets go fast so make sure to check out http://www.ruhrfestspiele.de/ early!
